A key component of his function was the maintenance and validation of the reconciled stress tests, and his job also required to the setting of Reserves and reserve methodology for the books and maintaining knowledge of the underlying markets through reserves … The post-holder needed to be able to explain high level trading risk for the portfolio for which he was responsible. The role also involved co-ordination with various departments and required someone who understood the business.”
