"Professionalism We expect the highest standards of honesty and integrity from you so you must follow these rules: You must not bring the Company into disrepute by anything you say or do when on or off duty… You must always be helpful and courteous to customers… We do not consider that, and nor should Mrs Taylor have found that, except in the most purely technical sense, the Applicant 'assaulted' Mr Marks. It appears that the Crown Prosecution Service and Police did not regard it as a sufficiently serious matter to bring proceedings, or even caution the Applicant. The Applicant was the first to admit that he had handled the matter badly. With the benefit of hindsight he would have "walked away"
