MR J P ROBERTS v 4 FRONT TECHNOLOGIES LTD [2001] UKEAT 601_01_3110
[1]APPEARANCES For the Appellant MR I WRIGHT (of Counsel) Instructed by: Ormerods Solicitors Green Dragon House 64-70 High Street Croydon Surrey CR0 9XN MR JUSTICE WALL We took the view that the Appellant had an arguable case on appeal, that the Tribunal was wrong in law:(1) in finding that there was a genuine redundancy; and(2) in ignoring the absence of any evidence of a proper consultation/selection process for redundancy.[2]There were four engineers at the "Crown Agents" site: the Appellant was the only one apparently made redundant, and this despite the fact that the "Crown Agents" contract did not come to an end and was renewed.
