MRS I P MURRAY & OTHERS v PHILIPPINE AIRLINES INC [2000] UKEAT 425_00_0707
[1]APPEARANCES For the Appellants MR D MCCARTHY (of Counsel) Instructed by: Mr S Penfold Messrs Moss Beachley & Mullem Solicitors 37 Crawford Street London W1H 1HA JUDGE WILCOX: The Employment Tribunal hearing was held at London North on 7 to 9 December 1999. The particular ground of appeal, which is put before us today, relates to liability. We have had the benefit of very full submissions on paper, given to us by Mr McCarthy. It is clear to us that there is an arguable point that can go forward to a full Tribunal, that is as to the contractual position, in relation to the redundancy payments.[2]On that limited ground, we therefore give permission for this to go to a full hearing. We give this Category C, and a time estimate of half a day. Skeleton arguments are to be produced together with a full chronology.
