'The authorities establish that the factors to be taken into account when exercising the discretion include whether the claim is bona.fide and nor a sham; whether the Claimant has a reasonably good prospect of success; whether the application for security was being used oppressively so as to stifle a genuine claim; whether the Claimants want of means has been brought about by any conduct by the Defendant; whether the application for security is made at a late stage ofrhe proceedings.
