[1]MR JUSTICE BURNETT: In this matter, the applicant, the Nursing and Midwifery Council, seeks to extend an interim suspension order which was put in place on 19 January 2010. The application is to extend it for eight months from the date upon which it otherwise would expire.[2]The application is made under Article 31(8) of the Nursing and Midwifery Order 2001. A witness statement from Christie Sharp (As heard) sets out the background to this matter. A hearing date for the underlying disciplinary proceedings has been set for the end of November. The application is for eight months. That is to cover any possibility that something goes wrong with the hearing in November.[3]By a document dated 8 July 2011, the respondent indicated that she did not wish to oppose the application and indeed she was happy for it to be dealt with on paper. I am satisfied on the material before me that it is appropriate to extend the order and I do so for eight months.[4]MR LUCAROTTI: Thank you, my Lord. I have another copy of the order if that is of assistance.

MR JUSTICE BURNETT: Yes. (Handed).
