“Preserving the competitive structure of the market is not just concerned with the ability to restore the position of the acquired and acquiring businesses in the event that the merger transaction is found by the CMA to be anticompetitive. It also includes preventing anti-competitive harm from the merger transaction impacting the position of other undertakings on any affected markets, which may be irremediably detrimental. Such undertakings could include competitors, suppliers or customers of the merging entities.”
