JUDGMENT
[1]The claimant’s claim of unlawful deductions from wages contrary to Section 13(1) of the Employment Rights Act 1996 is well founded and succeeds.[2]The claimant was entitled to expect payment for working 150 hours per month. Contrary to her contract of employment she was not provided with written notice of a reduction in her monthly working hours for the period 15 September to 17 November 2025. She therefore received underpayments which amounted to unlawful deductions from her wages totalling £2,608.20.[3]The respondent is ordered to pay the claimant the sum of £2,608.20. This figure has been calculated using gross monthly pay and the respondent is to deduct from that amount the required sum payable to HM Revenue and Customs for Income Tax and National Insurance.
