Mr K J Brown v Brookwood Temporary Solutions Ltd and others: 6030729/2025
JUDGMENT
[1]The claim was presented to the Watford Employment Tribunal on 19 August 2025. The respondent has failed to present a valid response on time. I have decided that a determination can properly be made of the claim, in accordance with rule 22 of the Rules of Procedure.[2]The respondent has failed to pay the claimant wages within the meaning of section 27 of the Employment Rights Act 1996 in the form of(1) gross salary of £6,365.58 for the period from 1 April 2025 to 1 May 2025 inclusive, and(2) £3,000 by way of unpaid bonus. The respondents (all of which are jointly liable to the claimant, so that the satisfaction by one of them of this judgment will satisfy it for all of them) must pay those sums to the claimant subject to such deductions as are required to be paid to His Majesty’s Customs and Revenue by way of income tax and national insurance payments on the sums.[3]The claimant’s claim for unpaid pension contributions is not within the jurisdiction of the tribunal and is therefore dismissed on the basis that the claimant is not precluded from pursuing it otherwise.
