Mr J Lang v University of Exeter: 6028572/2025
JUDGMENT
The claim is struck out.REASONS
[1]This claim was listed for a case management preliminary hearing on 23 June 2026 by notice sent to the parties on 29 September 2025. Although the respondent attended, the claimant, without notice or excuse, failed to attend the hearing. Further, the claimant failed to respond to correspondence from the respondent about this case, failed to supply an agenda to the tribunal, and failed to agree a list of issues.[2]On 15 July the case management order was sent to the parties. It indicated that I was considering striking out the claim, pursuant to Rule 38 of the Employment Tribunal Rules, because it is not being actively pursued.[3]The Order also provided that If the claimant objects to this proposal, he must put his objections in writing or request a hearing at which he can set out his objections by no later than 4 PM on 30 July 2026.[4]The claimant has failed to make representations in writing why this should not be done or to request a hearing.[5]The claim is therefore struck out. 1 of 2 Case Number: 6028572/2025 Approved by
