JUDGMENT
[1]The claimant was employed under a contract of service with the first respondent. She was an employee.[2]The claimant is therefore entitled to a redundancy payment to be met by the second respondent’s redundancy payments service.[3]The amount of the redundancy payment due is £15,113.10, calculated as follows: 20 (years worked) x 1.5 (age factor) x £503.77 = £15,113.10 The claimant’s weekly pay of £503.77 was the higher of two entries given by the liquidator on form RP14a. The Tribunal was satisfied that the figure was correct, reflecting the fact that the first respondent operated a 4-week pay period, as opposed to the more usual one-month pay period. Approved by
