Mr Z Ameen v Midlands Protection Services (MPS) Ltd: 6015665/2024

EMPLOYMENT TRIBUNALS
Case No 6015665/2024
Mr. Z AmeenClaimantMidlands Protection Services (MPS) LimitedRespondent
Employment Judge HeapDate 13 February 2025

JUDGMENT

The claim is struck out.

REASONS

[1]The Tribunal gave the Claimant an opportunity to make representations or to request a hearing, as to why the claim should not be struck out because he appeared to be a self employed contractor and as such was not an employee or a worker within the meaning of Section 230 Employment Rights Act 1996 and had no standing to bring the claim.[2]The Claimant has confirmed that he was engaged on a self employed basis and therefore the claim before the Employment Tribunal has no prospect of success.[3]The claim is therefore struck out.[4]The hearing fixed for 14th February 2025 will not take place.
