JUDGMENT
[1]The claim was presented in the London Central Employment Tribunal on 13 March 2025. The respondent has failed to present a valid response on time. The Employment Judge has decided that a determination can properly be made of the claim, or part of it, in accordance with rule 22 of the Rules of Procedure.[2]The respondent ceased trading on 19 January 2025 and dismissed the Claimant without carrying out any consultation.[3]As more than 30 individuals were made redundant from the workplace the Claimant is entitled to a Protective Award and the Claimant has sought 90 days.[4]The consultation ought to have commenced on 21 October 2024, 90 days before the Claimant was dismissed therefore the Protected Period commenced on 21 October 2024.[5]The respondent must pay the claimant £6,841.52 in total.[6]The hearing listed on 9 and 10 March 2026 is cancelled.
