JUDGMENT

[1]The claim was presented in the Manchester Employment Tribunal on 10 March 2025. The respondent has failed to present a valid response on time. The Employment Judge has decided that a determination can properly be made of part of the claim, in accordance with rule 22 of the Rules of Procedure.[2]The title is amended to Razors Edge Group Limited trading as James Roberts Beauty to reflect the correct title of the respondent.[3]The claimant was dismissed by reason of redundancy and is entitled to a redundancy payment of £8,009.54 (1 week’s pay for every complete year of service when the claimant was aged between 22 and 41;11 x 1 x £326.92 = £4,413.42, 1.5 week’s pay for every complete year of service when the claimant was 41 or older; 9 x 1.5 x £326.92 = £3,596.12. Total: 4,413.42 +£3,596.12 = £8,009.54. Length of service is capped at 20 years)[4]The respondent must pay the claimant £8,009.54 in total.[5]The claimant’s outstanding complaints will proceed to hearing.
