JUDGMENT
[1]The complaints of unfair dismissal and pregnancy and maternity discrimination succeed.[2]The compensation awarded in respect of the complaint of pregnancy and maternity discrimination is subject to a 15% uplift because the Respondent unreasonably failed to comply with the ACAS Code of Practice.[3]The Respondent must pay the Claimant the sum of £21,907.57, made up as follows:a. Loss of earnings and pension contributions - £6,745.79 (inclusive of the ACAS code uplift).b. Interest on loss of earnings and pension - £170.20 (calculated at a rate of 8%, giving £1.48 per day, for 115 days (from the mid-point day to the calculation day)).c. Injury to feelings - £13,800 (inclusive of the ACAS code uplift).d. Interest on injury to feelings - £691.58 (calculated at a rate of 8%, giving £3.02 per day, for 229 days (from the date of discrimination to the calculation day)).e.
