JUDGMENT
[1]The claim was presented in the Midlands West Employment Tribunal on 6 August 2024. The respondent has failed to present a valid response on time. The Employment Judge has decided that a determination can properly be made of the claim, or part of it, in accordance with rule 22 of the Rules of Procedure.[2]The Respondent made an unauthorised deduction from the Claimant’s wages during the period 27 May 2024 – 5 July 2024.[3]The Respondent is therefore ordered to pay the Claimant a sum of £4989.20, calculated as follows: - 27 May 2024 – 31 May 2024 5 days x £153.84 = £769.20. - 3 June 2024 – 28 June 2024 £3948.71 - 1 July 2024 – 5 July 2024 5 days x £153.84 = £769.20. £769.20 - £497.24 (already paid on 5 July 2024) = £271.96.
