[1]The claimant’s claim for a statutory redundancy payment in the sum of £12,000 is well founded;[2]It is agreed that she has received £4,500 and the balance of £7,500 is outstanding;[3]The respondent is ordered to pay the claimant a redundancy payment in the sum of £7,500. ---1--- Case No: 6001485/2025REASONS
[1]The respondent has entered creditors voluntary liquidation, and has indicated that it did not intend to attend today’s hearing. For the avoidance of doubt, unlike some forms of insolvency, CVL does not affect the ability of the tribunal to continue with the hearing.[2]There is no dispute that the claimant was dismissed by reason of redundancy and is entitled to statutory redundancy pay of £12,000. Equally it is agreed that she has received £4,500 in part payment and that the balance of £7,500 is outstanding.[3]Judgment is therefore entered for the claimant for the outstanding balance of £7,500.
