No response has been presented to this claim and an Employment Judge has decided to issue the following judgment on the available material under rule 21:[1]The claimant was dismissed by reason of redundancy on 17 September 2020. The claimant had 36 full years’ service at the time of his dismissal and is entitled to a redundancy payment of £13,988.00. The claimant’s entitlement is calculated as follows: length of service being capped at 20 years, the claimant had 12 years’ service aged 41 or older (1.5 weeks x 12) and 8 years aged between 22 and 41 (1 week x 8); they are, therefore, entitled to 26 weeks pay at a rate of £538 per week (that being the cap on a weeks’ pay).[2]The hearing listed on 28 June 2021 is cancelled.
