Miss N FinnClaimantOnsite PM LtdRespondent
Employment Judge L WisemanDate 9 January 2023

JUDGMENT

The Tribunal decided the claims were well founded and ordered the respondent to pay to the claimant the sum of £1 098.02 (gross), being payment for one week notice, payment for one week wages and payment for four days holiday.

REASONS

1 . The claimant presented a claim to the Employment Tribunal complaining that she had not been paid for a period of notice and holidays.[2]The respondent did not enter a response.[3]The Tribunal corresponded with the claimant regarding a quantification of her claim, but there was some confusion regarding the sums sought. An Employment Judge directed the claim should proceed to a hearing.[4]The respondent did not appear for the hearing today.[5]I heard evidence from the claimant and I made the following material findings of fact.[6]The claimant was employed by the respondent from the 27 March 2022 until the 1 1 August 2022.[7]The claimant earned £1666 gross per month, giving £1433 net per month.[8]The claimant worked one week without payment at the start of her employment and understood this would be paid at the end of her employment.[9]The claimant gave two weeks’ notice that she was leaving the employment of the respondent. The claimant worked one week of the notice. The claimant did not receive payment for the second week of her notice. 1 0. The claimant did not receive payment for the lying week. 1 1 . The claimant had four days holiday accrued but not paid as at the termination of her employment.[12]The claimant calculated she was owed £392.15 in respect of one weeks’ notice; £392.15 in respect of the lying time and £313.72 in respect of holidays.[13]I decided the claims were well founded and I ordered the respondent to pay to the claimant the sum of £1098.02 (gross) being one week notice pay, one week wages (lying time) and 4 days holiday.
