Accordingly, the tribunal has jurisdiction to hear the claim.[2]The claimant was dismissed unfairly within the meaning of section 103A of the Employment Rights Act 1996 in that he was dismissed principally for making a protected disclosure within the meaning of section 43A of that Act.[3]The compensation that the claimant is entitled to for the financial loss caused by reason of that unfair dismissal is four months’ salary at the rate of £6,000 net per month, i.e. £24,000.
