JUDGMENT

The Respondent has made unauthorised deductions from the Claimant’s wages and is ordered to compensate him in the net sum of £1,807.84

REASONS

[1]The Respondent did not appear and, considering its status, I took the view it was in the interests of justice to proceed in its absence.[2]I heard the evidence of the Claimant, to the following effect:-2.1 He had given notice to terminate his job and was asked to, and did, take the holiday owing to him during his notice period.2.2 He started his new employment on 30 July 2018 and was due to be paid by the Respondent on 1 August 2018.2.3 He received a pay slip and P45 both showing his pay for the last period of his employment as £1,807.84, but has not received any payment from the Respondent.[3]I accepted that evidence and am satisfied by the Claimant that the Respondent has made unauthorised deductions from his pay in the sum of £1,807.84.
