JUDGMENT
[1]Rule 21 Judgment having been issued on 15 September 2017, the respondent is ordered to pay to the claimant the sum of £2,973.10 consisting of a statutory redundancy payment of £1,575.00; notice pay of £998.10; and holiday pay of £400.00.REASONS
[1]A rule 21 Judgment was issued on 15 September 2017.[2]The claimant did not attend the hearing today. Enquiries were made with her and she told the tribunal staff that she had been advised by ACAS that she need not attend the hearing. I decided under rule 47 to proceed with the hearing in the absence of the claimant.[3]The respondent confirmed that the effective date of termination was 6 May 2017. Accordingly, the claimant’s statutory redundancy payment was calculated on the basis of five years’ complete service and a gross weekly wage of £210.00 x 7.5 which gives a figure of £1,575.00.[4]The claimant’s notice entitlement was five weeks at a net figure of £199. 62 = £998.10.[5]The holiday accrued from 1 January 2017 on the basis of 5.6 weeks per annum was calculated at two weeks which at £199.62 per week gave a figure of £400.00.
