JUDGMENT
[1]The claimant suffered unlawful deduction of wages in the sum of £5820 (five thousand eight hundred and 20 pounds) and it is ordered that sum is paid to the claimant by the respondent.[2]The claimant is also entitled to damages for the respondent’s failure to give notice of one week and it is ordered that the sum of £457.10 is paid to the claimant by the respondent.[3]The respondent is ordered to pay a financial penalty because there were aggravating features to the breach of the claimant’s rights not to suffer unlawful deduction of wages. The financial penalty is 50% of the unlawful deduction of wages in the sum of £2910.
