Y Poluyanova v Confidence Capital Ltd: 3314560/2020
JUDGMENT
[1]The claimant’s claim for unpaid wages is upheld.[2]The respondent is ordered to pay the sum of £3082.51 to the claimant, within 28 days of this judgment.REASONS
[1]The claimant brings a claim for unpaid wages in the sum of £3082.51. Her employment with the respondent ended on 16 October 2020. She received a final payslip in the sum of £3645.81 but was paid only £563.30. The respondent agrees that the sum is due but says he cannot pay as the company has no income due to the pandemic.[2]The respondent confirmed that the company still exists today though he is making plans to put it into an insolvency process.[3]As the respondent admits that the wages are due in the sum specified by the claimant, I uphold the claimant’s claim for unpaid wages.[4]The claimant requested that the wages be paid into the bank account previously used by the respondent when making wages payments to her.
