JUDGMENT
[1]The Tribunal was satisfied that the Respondent was given notice of today’s hearing and determined that it was in the interests of justice to proceed in its absence.[2]The Claimant was employed by the Respondent between 18 December 2023 and 19 January 2024. The Respondent is the correct respondent to the claim.[3]The Tribunal declares that the Respondent made unauthorised deductions from the Claimant’s wages in respect of the period 18 December 2023 to 19 January 2024. The Respondent is ordered to pay the Claimant the gross sum of £1,608 in respect of the unauthorised deductions.[4]The Claimant was dismissed in breach of contract in respect of notice and the Respondent is ordered to pay damages to the Claimant in the sum of £368.[5]Pursuant to s.38 of the Employment Act 2002, the amount of the award to the Claimant is increased by the higher amount of four weeks’ pay, equating to £1,610.[6]The total amount of the award to the Claimant is therefore £3,586. 1 of 2 Case Number: 3302921/2024
