Ms K Lewis v Leavy Community UK Ltd: 3301831/2023
JUDGMENT
Employment Tribunals Rules of Procedure 2013 – Rule 21 Having heard from the Claimant, and considered the documents provided, and the Respondent having failed to submit a response, the following judgment is issued:[1]The Claimant had a contract of employment with Leavy Community UK Limited. In accordance with that contract, she was entitled to be paid £580 for the period . The Respondent is therefore ordered to pay damages for breach of contract of £580.[2]Had I not been satisfied that the Claimant had a contract of employment, then I would have been satisfied that she was a “worker” as defined by Section 230(3)(b) of the Employment Rights Act 1996 and that there had been an unauthorised deduction from wages of £570.
