Employment Tribunals Rules of Procedure 2013 – Rule 21[1]The claim was issued in the Watford Employment Tribunals on 1 February 2023. The respondent has failed to present a valid response on time. The Employment Judge has decided that a determination can properly be made of the claim, or part of it, in accordance with rule 21 of the Rules of Procedure.[2]The respondent’s name is amended to Thanureka Jegajeevan t/a Happy Times Preschool and Daycare, under rule 29.[3]The Tribunal declares the respondent made unuauthorised deductions from the claimant’s wages in respect of unpaid wages from November 2022 to January 2023. The respondent is ordered to pay the claimant the gross sum of £3,473.19.[4]The claimant was dismissed in breach of contract in respect of notice and the respondent must pay damages to the claimant of £350.00.[5]The claimant’s claim, 3300648/2023, is dismissed as a duplicate.
