REASONS

[1]Ms Allen’s case, which has its own case number (3207507/2020) is part of a very large group claim, which has proceeded under the name of Broadbent v The Police Federation of England and Wales.[2]By an email of 12 March 2025, the Claimant through her legal representatives, Leigh Day, applied for reconsideration of the Tribunal’s judgment upholding her claim of age discrimination and victimisation, sent to the parties on 14 February 2024.[3]Leigh Day explained that the Claimant had misunderstood the grounds of claim, from which I infer that she accepts that the judgment on liability should not have been extended to her and does not wish to seek an order of compensation to which she is not entitled. Case Number: 3207507/2020[4]Errors of this sort are almost bound to arise in large multiple cases, involving thousands of Claimants. It is to the Claimant’s credit - and that of her advisers - that this has been bought to the attention of the Tribunal.[5]I extend time for the reconsideration application to be considered. I am satisfied that it is in the interests of justice for the application to be considered. I accept the Claimant’s explanation that an error has been made, revoke the judgment and dismiss the Claimant’s claims.
