Employment Judge JonesNeither present nor represented for claimantMr Islam-Choudhury (instructed by Counsel) for respondentDate 11 July 2022

JUDGMENT

The claim is struck out.

REASONS

[1]By case management orders dated 9 March 2022, the Tribunal gave the claimant an opportunity to make representations as to why the claim should not be struck out because: the Tribunal does not have jurisdiction to hear the complaint of unfair dismissal as the claimant was not engaged by the respondent for the period of two years as required by section 108 Employment Rights Act 1996; The claimant failed to attend today’s hearing even though she was aware of it. Her claim has not been actively pursued.[2]The claimant failed to make representations in writing, or has failed to make any sufficient representations, why this should not be done or to attend today’s hearing to do so. Under Rule 47 of the Employment Tribunals Rules 2013, the claim is therefore struck out. Case No: 3207439/2021[3]The hearing fixed for 8, 9, 10 and 11 August 2023 will not take place.
