[1]The Claimants claims for redundancy payments both succeed. The Claimant, Mr Garry Baker was employed by his late father, Mr Brian Baker from 22 December 1998 until Mr Baker’s death on 5 April 2020, when his employment terminated, as manager of an optician premises. His final weekly pay was £610.00. The Claimant Mrs Janice Baker was employed by the deceased as a receptionist from May 2002 until his death on 5 April 2020, when her employment terminated. Her final weekly pay was £68.10.[2]The Claimant Mr Garry Baker was born on 11 October 1970; the Claimant Mrs Janice Baker on 23 July 1947.[3]The Respondent is ordered to make the following redundancy payments: Mr Garry Baker £538 (statutory maximum) x 24 = £12,912.00 Case Numbers: 3202523/2020 3311934/2020 Mrs Janice Baker £68.10 x 25.5 = £1736.55
