Miss I Gaina v Do Transport Management Ltd: 3201991/2019

EMPLOYMENT TRIBUNALS
Case No 3201991/2019
Miss I GainaClaimantDo Transport Management LimitedRespondent
Employment Judge Gardiner DateDate 4 May 2020

JUDGMENT

The claim is struck out.

REASONS

[1]By a Case Management Order dated 6 January 2020 sent to the parties on 9 January 2020 the Tribunal gave the Claimant an opportunity to make representations or to request a hearing, as to why the claim should not be struck out because  The Claimant did not attend the Final Hearing on 6 January 2020, despite being notified by the Tribunal of this hearing in a letter dated 7 October 2020;  The Claimant had not contacted the Tribunal in advance of the hearing to explain her non-attendance and to seek another date for the Final Hearing of her claim; and  It therefore appeared that the Claimant may not be actively pursuing her claim.[2]The deadline for responding to the Tribunal was 3 February 2020. The Claimant has failed to make representations in writing why this should not be done or to request a hearing. The claim is therefore struck out.[3]The hearing fixed for 12 June 2020 will not take place.
