JUDGMENT
[1]The correct title of the Respondent is Premier Carriers (Same Day) International Limited (in creditors voluntary liquidation).[2]The Respondent’s address for service is amended to that of the liquidator, c/o Mr J Taylor, Begbies Traynor (Central) LLP, 1066 London Road, Leigh on Sea, Essex SS9 3NA.[3]The Claimant’s period of work during which he paid tax and national insurance as a self-employed person in or around 2017 and 2018 did not break the Claimant’s period of continuous employment because during that period the Claimant was an employee of the Respondent. He was not self-employed.[4]The Claimant’s period of continuous employment is 1 April 2015 to 2 February 2023.[5]The Claimant is entitled to a redundancy payment.[6]The amount of the redundancy payment is £5,995.50.[7]The Respondent paid to the Claimant a redundancy payment in the sum of: Case Number: 3200840/2023 £2,569.50 and there is a balance due to the Claimant in the sum of £3,426.00.[8]The Respondent is ordered to pay to the Claimant the balance of his redundancy payment the sum of £3,426.00.
