JUDGMENT
Upon the respondent having not presented a response, the parties having not attended the hearing, and the Tribunal having considered the information available to it, and made practicable enquires about the claimant’s absence, the Tribunal proceeded with the hearing pursuant to rule 47 of the Employment Tribunal Rules of Procedure 2013 and made the following orders:[1]The respondent has made unauthorised deductions from the claimant’s wages and is ordered to pay the claimant the gross sum of £1955.[2]This is calculated based on the information provided to the claimant in emails to the Tribunal dated 2 September and 2 October 2023, as follows:a. The claimant worked for the respondent for 8.5 weeks;b. The claimant worked 20 hours per week;c. The claimant’s gross hourly pay was £11.50; andd. The claimant was not paid any sums for his work for the respondent.
