JUDGMENT
[1]the Respondent was in breach of the Claimant’s contract in relation to notice pay in the amount of £458.40;[2]the Claimant’s claim that there was an unauthorised deduction from his wages by a failure to pay him for his first two weeks of employment is not well-founded and is dismissed;[3]the Respondent made an unauthorised deduction from the Claimant’s wages in the amount of £210.80 in respect of its recoupment of training costs;[4]the Respondent’s employer’s contract claim in relation to further training costs is not well-founded and is dismissed;[5]the Respondent’s employer’s contract claim in relation to the Claimant’s failure to return its uniform and other property succeeds in the amount of £220;[6]in relation to these claims, the Respondent shall pay to the Claimant the sum of £449.20 gross, without deductions for tax or national insurance; Case Number: 3200356/2024 2[7]the claim of unauthorised deduction from wages in relation to the Respondent’s retention of the amount of the insurance excess will be determined in a separate judgment.
