JUDGMENT
[1]The claimant was in business on his own account and was not an employee of the respondent. The tribunal therefore does not have jurisdiction to decide the claimant’s claims for monies owed, whether claimed as unlawful deduction from wages under section 23 of the Employment Rights Act 1996, or for failure to pay outstanding amounts on termination of employment under the Employment Tribunals (Extension of Jurisdiction) Order 1994.[2]The claimant’s claim is dismissed.
