JUDGMENT

(1) The respondent failed to give the claimant notice of termination of employment and must pay her damages for breach of contract in the sum of £375.(2) The respondent made unauthorised deductions from the claimant’s wages by failing to pay her the sum of £938.54 for work done and must pay her that sum.(3) The respondent also made unauthorised deductions from the claimant’s wages by purporting to deduct the sum of £306.50 for pension contributions, but failing to pay them to the claimant’s pension provider. (The respondent also failed to pay employer’s pension contributions, but – contrary to what was suggested during the hearing – the amount of those cannot be claimed by the claimant in the Employment Tribunal).(4) The total sum that must be paid to the claimant by the respondent is: £1620.04
