JUDGMENT

[1]Following the findings of direct race discrimination and race harassment at the liability hearing in this matter the Tribunal makes the following compensation awards: a) Injury to Feelings £19,000 (inclusive of an Aggravated Damages of £1,500); b) Pecuniary Loss of £6,952.78 c) ACAS uplift of £1,297.64 d) Interest of £3,771.31[2]The total sum to be paid to the Claimant by way of compensation in respect of these claims is £31,021.73.[3]It is recorded that it is not anticipated that any tax is payable on this award but in the event that it is then the award must be grossed up so that the Claimant receives the figure set out at paragraph 2 hereof.
