JUDGMENT
[1]The name of the respondent is amended to Deniz Atay trading as Nisa Local. Reservice is dispensed with.[2]The claimant’s claim for breach of contract (non-payment of notice pay) is wellfounded and succeeds. The respondent will pay the claimant the sum of £593.34 (2 weeks at £296.67) gross (before deduction of tax and National Insurance).[3]The claimant’s claim for failure to pay statutory redundancy payment, is wellfounded and succeeds. The respondent will pay the claimant the sum of £4,895.05. No income tax or National Insurance is deductible from this sum. The calculation is 11 years’ service x 1.5 x £296.67 = £4,895.05. Note: This has been a remote hearing. The parties did not object to the case being heard remotely. It was not practicable to hold a face to face hearing because of the Covid19 pandemic.
