JUDGMENT

[1]The Claimant’s claim of unlawful deduction from wages (in respect of arrears of pay) is well-founded and succeeds. The Respondent made unlawful deductions from the Claimant’s wages by failing to pay the Claimant his wages in respect of the period from 1 May to 23 June 2022 inclusive. The Respondent is ordered to pay to the Claimant the gross sum of £2,645 (that is, before any deductions for tax and national insurance as may be appropriate).[2]The Claimant’s claim of breach of contract is well-founded and succeeds. The Respondent was in breach of contract by dismissing the Claimant without notice in circumstances in which it was not entitled to do so. The Respondent is ordered to pay to the Claimant the net sum of £1,420, being damages for breach of contract.
