JUDGMENT

The judgment of the Employment Tribunal is as follows:[1]The claimant’s complaint under section 23 of the Employment Rights Act 1996 that, contrary to section 13 of that Act, the respondent made unauthorised deductions from her wages is well-founded; those deductions being said to be in respect of the salary paid to her while attending a training course in July 2019 and undertaking study days in respect of that course between September 2019 and May 2020, and the costs of attending a professional conference.[2]In accordance with section 24(1)(a) of that Act the respondent is ordered to pay the claimant the total amount of those deductions, being £2,789.16.
