Mr D Young v Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council: 243159/2018

EMPLOYMENT TRIBUNALS
Case No 243159/2018
Mr D YoungClaimantSefton Metropolitan Borough CouncilRespondent
Employment Judge BarkerDate 20 September 2018

JUDGMENT

The claim is struck out.

REASONS

[1]By a letter dated 20 July 2018 the Tribunal gave the claimant an opportunity to make representations or to request a hearing, as to why the claim should not be struck out because the claimant did not attend the preliminary hearing on 9 July 2018 and did not provide any reasons for his non-attendance. it is no longer possible to have a fair hearing of the claim, because it has not been actively pursued.[2]The claimant has failed to make representations in writing, or has failed to make any sufficient representations, why this should not be done or to request a hearing. The claim is therefore struck out.
