JUDGMENT
Having established that, at the time of this Judgment the respondent was registered as a legal entity at Companies House, the judgment of the Tribunal is that:[1]The claimant’s claim of unlawful deduction of wages succeeds.[2]The respondent is ordered to pay to the claimant the sum of £374 in respect of wages unlawfully deducted and a further £42 in respect of expenses incurred because of the unlawful deductions.[3]The claimant’s claim for breach of contract (notice pay) succeeds.[4]The respondent is ordered to pay to the claimant the sum of £580 (the claimant to account to HMRC for any employee tax payable on this sum)[5]The claimant’s claim of unlawful discrimination by reason of maternity or pregnancy succeeds.[6]The respondent is order to pay to the claimant the sum of £8000 as an award for injury to feelings sustained as a result of the unlawful discrimination.[7]The respondent failed to provide the claimant with a written statement of employment particulars and is order to pay to the claimant the sum of £2172 representing four weeks pay at the rate of £544 per week.[8]The total award made is £11,172.
