Mr N Morris v S Mannion Plumbing & Heating Ltd: 2415228/2020
JUDGMENT
[1]The complaint of unfair dismissal is not well founded and is dismissed. This means that the claim is unsuccessful.[2]The complaint for a redundancy payment is not well founded and is dismissed. This means that the claim is unsuccessful.[3]The complaint of unlawful deductions from wages and unpaid annual leave is successful insofar as it relates to the claimant not being informed of his date of termination on 31 July 2020 until 4 August 2020, being the first date when he could reasonably be expected to be informed of his dismissal. Accordingly, the respondent is ordered to pay the claimant the sum of £250 (Two Hundred and Fifty Pounds) in settlement of these complaints.[4]No order for recoupment was necessary because the claimant’s complaint of unfair dismissal was unsuccessful, and no compensatory award was therefore made.
