Employment Judge Ainscough DateDate 23 June 2020

JUDGMENT

The complaint of unfair dismissal is struck out.

REASONS

[1]The claimant was ordered to pay a deposit of £500.00 following a preliminary hearing held on 9 March 2020. The Order was sent to the claimant on 3 April 2020. The claimant was required to pay the deposit by 24 April 2020.[2]On 13 April 2020 the claimant contacted the Tribunal to advise that he had lost his job and could not pay the deposit. The Tribunal wrote to the claimant and asked for proof of job loss and income so the Judge could consider varying the deposit order. The claimant was asked to provide this information by 28 May 2020. The claimant has not responded to this correspondence.[3]The claimant has failed to pay this deposit. The complaint of unfair dismissal is therefore struck out under rule 39(4) of the Employment Tribunals Rules of Procedure 2013.
