JUDGMENT

The unanimous judgment of the Tribunal is as follows:[1]In September 2023 the claimant was a disabled person under section 6 Equality Act 2010 by reason of a physical impairment of his right ankle.[2]The respondent ought reasonably to have known this.[3]In dismissing the claimant in September 2023 the respondent treated him unfavourably because of something arising in consequence of his disability and the complaint of a contravention of section 15 Equality Act 2010 is wellfounded.[4]As compensation for unlawful discrimination the respondent is ordered to pay the claimant the sum of £10,265.00 calculated as follows: Injury to feelings £ 4,000.00 Interest on that £ 426.72 Financial Losses £ 5,542.68 Interest on that £ 295.60 Total £ 10,265.00[5]The respondent did provide a written statement of the main terms of employment so no uplift is awarded.
