Employment Tribunals Rules of Procedure 2013 – Rule 21 The respondent not having presented a response to the claims, and on the information before the Judge, The judgment of the Tribunal is that:[1]The claims of unlawful deduction from wages contrary to section 13 of the Employment Rights Act 1996 are well founded and the respondent is liable for the following awards of compensation: Kieran Cookson The respondent made an unauthorised deduction from the claimant’s wages and is ordered to pay the claimant the gross sum of £2,083.00. William Cook The respondent made an unauthorised deduction from the claimant’s wages and is ordered to pay the claimant the gross sum of £6,286.46.[2]The respondent is to pay any gross sums less the appropriate deductions for tax and national insurance, if any, for which it must account to HMRC.[3]The hearings listed on 28 January 2022 (in respect of Mr W Cook) and 28 February 2022 (in respect of Mr K Cookson) are cancelled.
