JUDGMENT

[1]The complaint of unauthorised deductions from wages is well-founded. The respondent made an unauthorised deduction from the claimant's wages and the respondent shall pay the claimant £735.00 which is the gross sum deducted. The claimant is responsible for the payment of any tax or National Insurance.[2]The complaint in respect of holiday pay is well-founded. The respondent made an unauthorised deduction from the claimant's wages by failing to pay the claimant for holidays accrued but not taken on the date the claimant’s employment ended. The respondent shall pay the claimant £900.00 The claimant is responsible for paying any tax or National Insurance.[3]The remaining complaints in dispute, being the payments which the claimant says were unlawfully deducted in the total sum of £900, and which the respondent says were paid to him on 18 and 24 December 2022, shall be heard at a final hearing on 6 August 2024. A separate notice of hearing has been sent to the parties and case management orders made.
