EMPLOYMENT TRIBUNALS
Case No 2406134/2019
Mrs D BennettClaimantKnowsley Travel LtdRespondent
Employment Judge BuzzardNot in attendance for claimantDate 14 February 2020

JUDGMENT

[1]The respondent’s name is amended from “Knowsley Travel” to “Knowsley Travel Limited”.[2]The claimant's claims are all dismissed, pursuant to rule 47 of the Employment Tribunals Rules of Procedure 2013, following the non-attendance of the claimant.[3]Attempts to contact the claimant were made on the morning of the hearing unsuccessfully. No explanation for the claimant's non- attendance was received by the Tribunal at or before the hearing. The Tribunal’s file records that the date of the hearing was confirmed to the claimant in a notice of hearing sent to her on 7 November 2019. Following enquiry by the claimant on 6 February 2020 this was reconfirmed to the claimant by email dated 11 February 2020. The Tribunal waited until 10:20am before acting.[4]In the circumstances, given the lack of communication from the claimant regarding her non-attendance, the absence of the claimant and the recent Case No. 2406134/2019 confirmation to the claimant of the date of the hearing, the decision of the Tribunal was to dismiss all the claimant’s claims pursuant to rule 47.
