JUDGMENT

[1]The claimant’s claim she was owed four days’ notice pay succeeds, the claim having been conceded by the respondent. The respondent is ordered to pay to the claimant the sum of £146.47 representing four days’ gross pay.[2]The claimant’s claim that she is owed an additional £81.65 by way of redundancy payment succeeds following the respondent’s concession that an error in the calculation of the claimant's redundancy payment was made. Accordingly, the respondent is ordered to pay to the claimant the sum of £81.65 by way of additional redundancy payment.[3]The claimant's claim that she was unfairly dismissed is well-founded and succeeds. The Tribunal find the claimant's dismissal to have been procedurally unfair and the claimant, on the application of the principles set out in Polkey v A E Dayton Services, is awarded one week’s pay. This represents the additional time it would have taken the respondent to conclude a fair redundancy selection process with the claimant, finding that a fuller process could have made no difference to the Case No. 2404972/2019 2 fact the claimant was selected for redundancy. Accordingly, the respondent is ordered to pay to the claimant the sum of £241.65 representing one week’s net pay.
