[1]By a letter dated 12 September 2023 the Tribunal gave the claimant an opportunity to make representations or to request a hearing, as to why the claim should not be struck out because:• The claimant had failed to reply to the Tribunal’s letter of 10 May 2023, in the time specified.• It appears that the claim, which the claimant describes as being about a defamatory reference, is one which the Employment Tribunal does not have jurisdiction to decide:• It appears that a claim of unfair dismissal, indicated in section 8.1 of the claim form, cannot be pursued by the claimant because she lacks 2 years’ qualifying service.• It appears that the claim has no reasonable prospects of success.[2]The claimant has failed to make representations in writing, or has failed to make any sufficient representations, why the claim presented should not be struck out or to request a hearing. The claim is therefore struck out.
